Do you supply the photographer?

We do not supply the photographer. A client will usually hire the photographer. The photographer will then contact us to schedule the flight. If you do not have a regular photographer or know a photographer then we can help you get in contact with several experienced photographers in the aerial photo business. These photographers have flown with us many times and are familiar with the area, our helicopters, and our pilots.

I need to take aerial video. What are my options?

For many smaller jobs a client will hire a videographer who will shoot with a handheld camera from the helicopter. Hand held video camera shots are subject to vibrations and bumps and best used when only short video clips are needed. These video flights are the same price as photography.

If you need a steady prolonged shot we offer a Tyler-mounted gyro stabilized camera. This camera can film in either regular broadcast quality or high definition. Since using this camera can be difficult with no operating experience, we will supply the camera operator. There is an increased cost on these flights.

Call us and we can help find the right option for you.

How low can we fly to get the shot?

Although the FAA does not spell out a specific minimum altitude for helicopters there are some guidelines. We will not fly lower than any altitude that puts the passengers, the aircraft, or people on the ground in possible harms way. Your pilot will always put safety above everything else.

Can I bring passengers along for a ride while I shoot?

No! Only those essential for the job may fly. Weight is critical for a helicopter. The photographer and an assistant will be the only ones allowed to fly.

What if I have to cancel?

There will be a $50 charge per hour booked in the R22. The charge for the R44 is $100 per hour booked. These charges only apply if you cancel with less then 24 hours notice.

What about bad weather? Can I cancel then with no charge?

Yes, if there is inclement weather. Inclement weather does not include cloudy, hazy, etc. Inclement weather means weather that would compromise the safety of flight.
